hit with a shock

recently, my wife went to texas to see her sister. she was there a week, and when she returned, spent hours a week talking to this guy. I confronted her over and over about it, and she insisted it was her cousin. She made me feel like I was paranoid and insecure for not believing her.

Well, someone very very close to her felt the need to tell me. This person called me today and said I have some things to tell you that you should know.

This person informed me that my wife was sleeping with two different guys, the one that was her "cousin" and another guy that she had been sleeping with whenever she went out. (she always assured me she was going to see her parents or it was girls night out). Well, she was actually sleeping with this guy several times.

I confronted her about it today and of course, denied everything. This source though, that informed me, is extremely trustworthy and the stories started to make sense. I started to piece together all the times that seemed fishy.

Anyways, I obviously told her that I want her out of the house by this next week. She agreed.

My question is this: the house is under my name, not hers. She pays me some money for mortgage, but we have only been married for two years. I make low 6 figures, she makes a litter more than half. Her son lives with us on weekdays, but the real dad gives money to my wife for child support.

Can she get me for alimony? or what I've heard is that short marriages like this don't qualify for me to owe her anything. (were in california)

Dude I'm not from California but best advice is to consult a lawyer and see what the state laws are. I believe some states still have statutes set up where if a spouse cheats then alimony will not be granted.....And if you make six figures GUARANTEED she's gonna try to get something from ya.

I'm just a poor boy from Minnesota but you can afford a decent lawyer so get one asap and cover your ass.

Also sorry about your situation I was in something similar. Also try and keep your house if at all possible. That's just my two cents!

Best of luck!
